Our History
Since 1957, when Alex and Emily Silagyi were the proprietors, The County Seat Restaurant and Bar has become an enduring landmark in Kittanning.
With a foundation deeply rooted in family entrepreneurship, similar to the Silagyi family's other ventures - including bridal and floral shops on Market Street - The County Seat has transitioned into the caring hands of Clyde and Laura Brown, and their family.
The Browns have continued to honor the original spirit of this establishment, ensuring it remains a cherished, family-operated gathering spot where people can have fun, feel welcomed, and enjoy delicious food and drinks.
